Your Inspection & Report

Archelon Inspection Service is committed to bringing a thorough inspection, customer service, a great report and client education back to the industry, and really helping our clients understand what is in front of them.

What to Expect From Your Inspection

A home inspection helps buyers, sellers, and homeowners learn about the condition of their home. Inspectors identify hundreds of major issues and thousands of smaller ones, which can impact your home’s safety and require costly repairs. This helps everyone make informed decisions about buying, selling, and maintaining their home.

If you are a buyer, seller, or just a homeowner trying to keep up with maintaining your home, Archelon Inspection Service provides a professional and quality home inspection experience to assist you. Your certified Archelon home inspector is trained to inspect your home to the standards set forth by InterNACHI the top home inspector association in America, and then go even further and check for as many maintenance and improvement recommendations as possible. This way you get the important items and the “honey do list” of items to get or keep your home in top condition.

Before Your Inspection

Purchasing and maintaining a home is a major expense and most of us can not afford to get these decisions wrong. That is why having a well done inspection and choosing an experienced and properly certified home inspector is extremely important. We would love to provide that well done inspection for you but, if you do not choose us, we do recommend that you get another high quality inspector for your home. .

You will also need to decide which ancillary (additional) services you may need. Take a moment to read through our services page and familiarize yourself with our services, and determine which services are best for your situation. It is also a good idea to get with your realtor and see what tests have already been done or what systems are already installed.

During Your Inspection

A home inspection objectively examines a house’s physical structure and systems, from the roof to the foundation. On average, a single-family home inspection usually takes 2-4 hours to complete, though this is heavily dependent on the home’s size and condition.

We strongly advise our clients to attend the inspection or at the very least that they attend the summary at the end if possible. This is your time in the home as well, you can tag along with the inspector, or take measurements and make future plans. A good inspector will take time at the end of the inspection to summarize all the key points, answer any questions you may have, and then walk the important findings and show you where all the important shut-offs are.

After Your Inspection

After your home inspection you will receive a report. A proper inspection report will be a detailed and easy-to-read report of the findings, complete with pictures, analysis, and recommendations. That report should identify the major issues that need to be addressed as well as the deferred maintenance items.

If you have any additional questions after receiving the report, a good inspector will take the time to get back to you and answer those questions. Also, the home inspection will not reveal every issue that exists or ever could exist, the best inspectors will be there for opinions and recommendations as long as you own the home.
